Reliable and good adjustemnt features
This was a replacement for an identical part that had failed after 5+ years so they are reasonably reliable. They have spacers to allow a gap between the sensor and the wall for the wires to enter from the rear and 2 positions for grommets so separate in and out wires are possible. There is no sensitivity adjustment as such but you can add the supplied adhesive stickers which can limit the field of view. There are controls for the light level at which the load is turned on as well as an "on" adjustment time. I did notice that, to cut costs, Steinel have removed the white marking on these controls, relying on moulded in markings instead. This does make them more difficult to read but generally you would only set them up once. The sensor also has good directional adjustment, both up and ... Take care with installation
Replacement for previous item (same model) which had failed due to water and insect ingress from rear of unit. New unit fitted with silicone seal all round to prevent same problem again. Works as per specification. If fitting take extra care to ensure that all apertures/fixing holes are well sealed when installing.
