If you are into the early 60's beat poets who flooded the British music scene then this is your guy. Like Adrian Henry and the Liverpool Scene, this is more about writing style than music. The latter is only there to support the voice. Frankly, Liverpool Scene were much better at it. Given that Pete Brown was an excellent writer of lyrics for the likes of Cream, Jack Bruce and Mountain, there was definitely talent in that sense. His forays with Piblokto and Battered Ornaments are much more interesting because of the music behind him. Do not purchase this disc for the music because it is fairly pedestrian. If like me your taste for Brown's other efforts it is an interesting window into his writing style, nothing more. He continues to be a below average vocalist.
