      Peace of mind when using heavy brushcutter blades

      I wanted some better leg protection when using Oregon's terrifying mulching blade on my brushcutter. I'd been warned that these blades can occasionally shatter and, given the weight of them, there is a lot of energy to damage limbs that get in the way. These guards are a good compromise between strength and comfort - easy to put on and take off and once I'm working I'm not really aware that they are there, except for a little bit of pulling round the back of the knee guards. I'm not sure whether they would completely stop a high energy blade fragment, but would certainly take most of the energy out of it. I was a bit dubious as to whether they would fit me as most forestry protective trousers seem to be designed for supermodels with disproportionally long legs - I'm 5'8" and these fit just ...

      Protect your legs

      Excellent item. Bought for protecting my legs when using a strimmer to guard against flying stones and other debris. These worked superbly and fitted well despite being over 6 feet tall. For the first time ever I strimmed along a hedgerow in my shorts but with my shins fully protected. Superb; I only wish I'd had a pair over the last 30 years!!!

      Light but strong

      These Shin Guards are just what the doctor ordered 'literaly'. I have a thin skin condition on my shins and as such bought these guards to protect them when I go about my daily jobs. They are excellent, I couldn't wish for more. For me the are all Pro's and absolutely no Con's.

      Shinguards

      Good value and quality product. I wear these any time I'm working in long grass whilst strimming unfamiliar terrain as I've previously been injured on the shin whilst unprotected ,by flying debris.
