Low-Priced Radio
This is a handy little portable radio, if you need something light, and aren't bothered about top-quality sound. It's very small, so expect a rather 'tinny' sound. The reception is acceptable, but not wonderful. Fine if you are going on holiday & need something cheap & lightweight to take away. Doesn't look cheap. This is a great little radio, as long as you don't expect excellent sound quality, or exceptional reception. Good value radio for under £3. It works on both AM & FM wavebands and has a power on/off LED light. Receives Radio 5 Live and local stations on AM and most FM stations that are available locally too. There is a bit of an annoying background hiss on AM, but that's not unusual for radios in this price range. Utter rubbish, difficult to tune on FM, you have to turn the tuning wheel so slow otherwise you miss the station, when you have found a station the radio develops a high pitch whine after 15 minutes of use resulting in having to be turned on and off but the whine is back within minutes. Best signal strength is when you touch the radio but once you move away it is rubbish again. No signal at all on AM.
