You need to screw the antenna onto the magnetic base: sadly this wasn't achievable with mine as the thread sizes were completely different. I contacted the seller immediately asking for a solution to the problem.. A day later I contacted them again asking for a solution.. a day later eBay has informed me that the seller has issued a full refund. So, the aerial is useless to me and the communication wasn't good, but the refund is very welcome.
