Destitute hunter John Moon (Sam Rockwell) finds himself on the run from some very bad people after accidentally shooting a young female drifter in the backwoods, and laying claim to the massive amount of money she'd been secretly carrying. At first Sam believes the cash windfall will help smooth over relations with his estranged wife and their young son, but the increasingly tormented hunter becomes the game as he attempts to cover up any evidence of his involvement in the tragic crime. William H. Macy and Jeffrey Wright co-star in this moody morality play directed by David M. Rosenthal, and based on the novel by author Matthew F. Jones

After a prolonged delivery time......moviemars-uk is based in the USA , the album arrived in CD format. Also Buyer Beware, you will be charged VAT on the listing price! I complained, and was offered a refund if I paid to return it to the USA, for which they would refund me.. Having read their previous feedback, I realised that I would probably not get my money back.     A single shot dvd

    I won't have the cheek to try and resell this. Barely audible. Dialogue may be understandable to hill billies in the USA, but a lot of it isn't intellible to me. Dim and not easy to see some things. Like it was mostly filmed at dusk. I gave up after about 40 mins, so I did give it a fair chance. Was mostly boring for that time. Dreary. I don't recommend.

    A good film

    I like Sam Rockwell. He brings a charisma to a role that's hard to define. There isn't another quite like him. This is a thoughtful film and well-acted throughout and I'm pleased to have it in my DVD collection.
