Initially the kettle only worked intermittently. I was offered a refund if I returned the kettle. I didnt want the hassle so I was reimbursed for buying a kettle lead as the kettle did not work with it's own lead. As soon as I fitted a new lead it works well. Boils really fast. The gauge on the handle does not show a water level so might as well not be there to be honest.
