A classic lens, the equal of Zeiss and Leica at a fraction of the price
I bought this manual focus lens for use with my Sony NEX-7 and NEX-5N cameras. The lens produces very sharp and detailed images on both cameras and is one of the few lenses I own which is sharp enough to bring out the best in the NEX-7s 24MP sensor. However, the non-telecentric design of the Voigtlander combined with the microlens layout of the NEX-7 causes a magenta cast in the corners, which is correctable with Cornerfix, a free utility (Google it). There is no issue with the NEX-5N and video on that camera fitted with the Color Skopar is particularly good. Manual focussing a 21 mm lens is no major chore as depth of field is so extensive and the smooth action and nicely engraved distance scale make scale focussing easy, even if you don't use the NEX's excellent peaking and ... On the 16MP NEX-5N it's an unreserved success - and then there's the buzz of owning a lens with a classic name!

Very solid performer
The Color Skopar 21mm F/4 is a great lens on the M10R, better performing than on the original M10. Very light and a great landscape and walk around lens. I'm looking forward to traveling with this lens once we are past Covid-19 travel restrictions.

Very sharp and well built.
Amazing results, very sharp with good microcontrast. Using with the sony A7iii and a close-focus adapter. MF is very easy for close subject. Very small and beautiful lens (great for travel, landscape). No need to add vignette in pp. Love it!
