This is John Foxx's brilliant second album. The digital remastering and a whole disc of extra tracks makes it a must have for any fan of this highly underated and incredible artist.

This album is john foxx at his best, i immerse myself the haunting almost mystical in places, synth sound coupled with stripped down lyrics and it still transports me back to the time i first heard his music over 30 yrs ago. To me it hasn't really dated, more sophiscated and immotional than kraftwerk, less chart minded than ultravox (viena apart)and not as dark as Gary Numan,or as poppy tuneful as depeche mode, its somewhere inbetween all of them, its a great chill out record for people for dont do chill out in the normal way. The tracks vary in tempo from "dancing like a gun" down to the title track "the garden" my favourite has to be "walk away" with its powerful lyrics and echo, but the whole album works as a package. if you want something new to listen to thats 30 yrs old, go and get ...
