One of the most interesting marine shows I've seen on Animal Planet other than the Croc Hunter & Whale Wars. Jeremy Wade is an awesome angler who always wonders, similar to I, what "river monsters" lurk in the places we would never really think of until it is pointed out. The show is scienctific, captivating, and highly interesting to me! For people who are interested in marine life in the predator category, or simply care for a scientific thrill of real life marine facts & action, give River Monsters a view!
For starters its a DVD involving a man on a quest to find mythical Creatures and to prove whether they indeed live. From man eating crocodiles to fresh water sharks to snakes of the waterways. Boys are drawn to it as well as men with adventure in their souls. Many of the story's are filmed on location in the jungle or lake in which story's originated. Many time he proves yes, it is possible for creatures to be called " monsters" all true dealing with fish as real as large cat fish, sharks, piranha and more. Interesting and great entertainment.
This kept our attention. It was interesting and we learned things we didn't know. I like that he is a biologist, it makes it so much more entertaining. My kids were a little bit worried about swimming in the creek after watching it. I would not want to watch one from my area!

River Monsters is indubitably addictive!! I love Jeremy Wade; he is the right amount of entertainment: cute, smart, and adventurous. If you love Animal Planet, then, presumably, you love wildlife, and if so, then you will love River Monsters. If you are an avid reader or book collector, you might also want to consider purchasing the book River Monsters, which is also found on eBay!
The DVD is awesome - a biologist that loves to fish for seldom seen prey in wild settings, against the odds - man vs. wild plus myth busters plus les stroud....Jaws was enough to make me think twice about salt water swimming - now I can think about fresh water swimming too! Don't forget to dip just the toe in the water to check for......temp. or flesh eating fish!
