I've always used apple (you either love it or hate it) and the MacBook Air with M1 chip really lives up to my expectations, and it's fast at everything. The 8GB of RAM copes with any of the software and processing needs I have and as a designer I'm using bulky software that needs RAM. As I don't tend to store files on the MacBook the 256GB SSD is plenty big enough for my everyday needs. As an apple and MAC user it's perfect for my needs being ultra lightweight and compact (the whole thing is the same size as the previous 11" screen Air I had and a lot less weight). For apple fans or users I'd recommend. If you're used to a PC you'll probably hate it for any number of reasons.

Very powerful laptop for its size. Everything works very well so far including MS Office. The keyboard is a great improvement on earlier MacBooks and the 13 inch screen is excellent with vibrant representation of colours. The MacBook Air M1 has had rave reviews today and I agree. I use this as a home/office PC and it works fine. I use it linked to a larger 24in Dell screen monitor when at home and the MacBook takes on all the tasks I throw at it like a desktop. Downside? Not enough ports so an external usb (plus) hub is a must. A great small laptop with real desktop capability.

My MacBook Air M1 in Rose Gold looks like a beautiful jewel and performs like a beast. Webpages load almost instantly and programs and apps super fast. The battery life is good and recharge is fast. Can you tell that I love my MacBook? After years of Windows, it’s a refreshing change.

Being a life long Windows user, this is my first MacOS computer. The MacBook Air is a fantastic laptop, it's solidly built, has a beautiful screen that whilst glossy keeps reflections to an absolute minimum and has excellent performance even when running on battery and is completely silent. That said, it's not all been plain sailing as I try and get used to the intricacies of getting my head around and navigating MacOS; it's hard not to compare what would have been a simple task in Windows can be frustrating in MacOS, eg, adding a shortcut icon on the desktop or reverse delete. I'm sure I'll figure it all out as I get used to it more. But when I'm not trying to configure it like Windows, everything "just works"

Bought for my daughter to replace previous MacBook. She loves it. Very good quality, all round excellent performance. It's quite pricey but I think worth it for the reliability and quality of the product. I compared it to the MacBook Pro and this stands up well against it.
