About this product

Product Information

The NBA 2K series continues its PlayStation 2 run with refinements in the visuals, sound, and controls. The right analog "shot stick" introduced in NBA 2K6 returns for this installment, with players able to directly control specific shot types as well as steals, blocks, and more without having to press a button. The same flexibility is offered in the passing game, where players can choose to perform bounce passes or lobs. A more dynamic presentation with television-style camera angles is also an area of focus.

Yet the biggest change involves instilling a sense of personality into the league's biggest stars, embodied by new signature-style animations and player-specific moves. The VIP system that monitors a user's playing tendencies and performance returns, as does online support for each of the main game modes. A revamped streetball game and tweaks to the franchise mode, dubbed the "Association," round out the list of improvements to the heralded hardwood simulation.

I have played this GTA game back on the PS2 and was the only PS2 I never finished. Thanks to this amazing seller, I got the chance to play through it and finish the story. Definitely one of the most underrated GTA games out there. Excellent seller as it came exactly as described and is literally mint! Hope to do business with you again someday!

  • This Is To Basketball What Madden Is To Football

June 7, 2006 - GRAPHICS: A better looking game than NBA Live. Most importantly, the game runs pretty smooth during gameplay (not so much during replays). GAMEPLAY: Isomotion has returned, and it functions are as good as ever. This is basically controlling all you player's motion, even shooting, with the analog sticks (I still prefer the face buttons myself). The interesting thing about this feature is that you can pick up and play the game, having read nothing about the functionality, and do a serviceable job in a game. Waggling that analog stick in respect to what you see happening on the screen is just a more intuitive way to play the game. Once you dig in and read all of the specific moves you can execute with the feature, it really opens up the experience. Free throws work by the ...

  • Forget this version...

NBA 2k7 is an ok game on the PS2, I love the player animations (star players now have shot mechanics that are similar to the way they shoot in reality) as well as some other minor improvements. The graphics still seem average to me and the overall smoothness of the game suffers a bit due to animations (check out 2k2 for what I mean, the game is super smooth in regards to player movement). It's not a huge step forward but it's a decent game. I like the fact there are more create a player slots, but still only 2 create a team slots means there isn't a whole lot you can do in customizing a league of made up teams (again, 2k2 shined with 10 slots, you could create your own league). The sound fx dept. is disappointing, I like to hear the shoes squeak on the court, the ball hit the court and ...

  • Good, but why does the CPU unprovoked dribbles out?

I like this game a lot, it is challenging enough to be motivated to play. But sometimes ( like 3-5 times each game) the CPU player will dribble the ball out of bounds, for no apparent reason. I mean the CPU is four feet from being out then it will back step and back track suddenly, and before you know it, it is outside the line. It is also easy to have 30+ turnovers committed by the CPU team. It happens. And the computer can be done two possessions late in the game, and you know what, the offense is slowly running their play, with little movement, then with like 6 seconds left they finally take a shot. Regardless of whether they made it or not, they wasted too much time to take their shot, and the CPU lacked the appropriate urgency, strategy, and time management needed to give ...

  • Tha Basketball game of this year!

I love this game. The dunks is awsome the graphics and the likeness of the players are amazing.I love the way 2K goes out of there way to make sure that the players move, shoot and act like the real players in tha NBA.Also the teams play exactly like they play in tha NBA.My only dislike is tha crowd looks tha same on all 2Ks I think for 2K9 they should really work on more crowd flava.I decided to buy this game because I own the whole 2K collection I must have the new title each year.
