    Affordable Wood Grain Tools

    I got this set to apply wood grain to a cabinet door, 6' x 4' , in my garage,that a 70mph wind gust destroyed. I was trying to match panels from 30 years ago, so I pretty much started from scratch. I did not know if it was possible, so I did not want to spend the big bucks that some wood graining kits cost. The tools are of good quality, and clean up very easily. If a rank amateur like me can make acceptable wood grain with them, then they are certainly worth the price. The door I produced would not fool a pro, but matches the others pretty well, and my wife thinks it is great.

    Wood Graining Tools

    Never did wood graining before. Wanted to make a flat steel door look like wood painted white. Checked tutorials on YouTube first. Looks amazing. Can't tell it's a steel door unless you knock on it.

    Great DIY project

    Several ways to create a faux wood grain effect given the 3 tools included in the kit. Unclear as to whether on not you need to buy a special glaze additive for the paint, will just have to experiment.
