In my photo darkroom days I used a lot of Hama equipment and have always thought they made good quality things. Unfortunately this VHS adapter let the side down by failing within 24 hours. I put 7 tapes through it then on the 8th tape it refused to eject the cassette from the adapter. I had to unscrew the back and fiddle around to salvage the tape. In the process I saw that the mechanism is largely made of plastic parts, one of which was clearly not up to the task and had broken. I returned the adapter for a refund. To finish my tapes I borrowed a JVC adapter that the owner bought 30 years ago. It still works fine. That’s the standard that Hama should be aiming for but totally failed to reach. Can’t recommend it I’m afraid.
