Brighter but new features need improvement.
Two improvements but also three negatives. It's much brighter than the previous LED model and the push button is better than the old rotary switch. However the zoom/focus adjustment is so loose it often changes without any user input which is annoying as it nearly always requires readjustment. Secondly it seems the beam width remains spread over a wide angle no matter where the control is set, with a hot spot in the centre.Sometimes this is inconvenient when a concentrated beam is required, as with examinations of an animals head. Thirdly the battery compartment seems oversized as the batteries rattle around inside. Two improvements but also three negatives.
