Product Information

Lichdom: Battlemage aims to combine the uptempo action of first-person shooters with the loot, leveling, and spellcasting of fantasy RPGs. Players take on the role of The Dragon, and they can choose to be either female or male, with their decision slightly altering the game's story. Both plot lines find gamers tracking down the evil overlord Shax, gaining unlimited magical powers, and being helped by a scout known as The Gryphon. There are eight different elemental forms of magic, with players wielding any three at a time, and thousands of different spells to craft and cast.

    Interesting Concept, Poor execution

    Game plays and looks like a 1990s PC game. I felt like I was playing Heretic on my old Gateway PC in the 90s. Movement is too quick, controls are clunky, and spells are so repetitive it's boring. The graphics, terrible. Level design is totally linear. The enemies just charge at you wildly, barely any AI. I only played the first level before I put the game away. The positive: My 3 year old finds it fun. But he isn't allowed to play it. In a nutshell it's a poor FPS that uses ranged "spells" instead of guns. If you like dark and dreary poor quality then this game is for you. If you are expecting Skyrim, Diablo, etc it falls very short.
