    Accurate.

    Loved the story. I have met one of the airmen, a retired colonel and us told stories about their adventures. Unfortunately he has now passed. I was not aware they had come up against the Nazi jets, but talking to a closer friend of his who had watched it with him, he confirmed that they had come up against the jets. Some things as with all films were theatrical license.
