    Tidy package

    For the money, a great radio. Lots of features but I only need a few - channel scan, dual watch, mic gain. TX and RX audio are good and many functions can be accessed with only the thumb. Solid feel and handily pocket sized. Not customised it yet but the potential is there.

    Fantastic little radio

    Very good radio , i bought this in the hope airband would work , Well it sure dose, this radio picks up signal just aswell as the uniden 125 , if not using CHIRP to programme this then i think itslimited to Two scan banks, but it does what i need it for! Over all for the price good value..the (99) CEC version hf works very well but you will need to read the card instructions!!! And upgrade antenna.

    Beautifully made and easy on the eye but, the keypad is tiny and not easy to manipulate. But my main complaint is about the instruction leaflet. Get a fluent English speaker to rewrite a clear step-by-step instructions leaflet. I am still struggling to understand how to get this transceiver on the air. A bargain at the price I paid.

    Doesn't do what its supposed to

    I was a little disappointed with the radio when it arrived, I had researched it on the internet as I wanted it for a specific purpose. To be able to transmit Morse code on the 2 meter and 70 cms amateur radio bands. The only way I can transmit Morse code is using the PTT button on the side of the radio, this is very clumsy and the Morse code is not very good. I tried to use an external Morse key but could not get it to work. I also tried to use a speaker microphone to make using the radio easier, but despite the microphone being sold as compatible for radio this would not work either. So I am slightly disappointed with my purchase.
