This book was carefully packed and shipped promptly. It looks perfect and I am very happy with the transaction. I would definitely buy from this seller again. Also, I would much rather pay a decent price for shipping when the item is as well protected as this one was.

  • A historical Oddity.

A hardback reprinting of the first DC comic book, and the first comic book to be filled with original features. But be forewarned, there are no superheroes in this book. This is three years before Superman debuted in Action Comics. These pages are filled with Career girls, sailors, boxers, pilots, adventurers and cowboys. There are also humorous strips, but the closest thing to a star here is a few pages of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, who by this time was past his prime. This is a historical oddity as none of the characters lasted and no feature goes over four pages. None of the stories are memorable. This is for DC fans or fans of early golden age comics.

  • I hope this sells so well that DC restarts the Famous 1st Edition series!

Here's a rare item in the DC canon that hasn't been reprinted within the lifetimes of most people who are alive today. Couple that with the fact that they thought to include it in the Famous 1st Edition series (as number C-63), and you have a beautiful collectible that also captures an important point in DC Comics history.

  • The Title FUN describes it perfectly.

This is the 1st comic book, as such. There are no superheroes, as there were none, at the time.
