Too high for kick drum

A solution to using a microphone with Scottish lowland small pipes (pump-driven).
This stand is the best solution to get a Shure SM58 under the chanter of the pipes - worked a treat. In previous years at the same gig I used a standard mike stand with a boom, but there were problems with the boom developing a droop and moving the mike away from the instrument while playing. No problem this time! It's also a more discreet. I quite understand there are more mainstream uses, but necessity is the mother of invention, and this well-made product is a smart and inexpensive solution.
