    Sanyo VCR a good choice to play old VHS tapes

    I purchased this to replace an older Sanyo VHS that died. It came with no remote, but I had a remote from my previous Sanyo player. The remote I had was needed to adjust the tape tracking which was a bit off. Other than that, the picture and sound were good on a newer HD tv. The 3-component output/input in front and back of the device made it easy to connect.

    great VCR

    It performs its functions well and has unexpected features, like the pause countdown bars, to help wit more commercial-free taping. It's small and doesn't take up any unnecessary space.

    Very good & dependable product & easy on the pocketbook.

    I bought this VCR because they no longer sell them in stores. I chose this brand because it is a very good, well working, dependable VCR. It did not include a remote, but I had one already with the other Sanyo VCR I have even though it is a different model. It is easy to program & plays & records beautifully. Not only do I like this Sanyo VCR, but I also have & use to my total satisfaction a Sanyo TV & Sanyo digital camera that I use to take pictures with for my eBay sales. I would highly recommend this brand of VCR to anyone considering what brand to purchase.

    Just the basics, but works great!

    I have many VCRs because I have a lot of movies on video cassette, and all of my VCRs are combos with DVD players. I don't know if it is a coincidence that all of the VCRs quit working on all of these machines even though the DVDs still work, or it is a case where I stopped playing the video cassettes for a period of time. Whatever the case, all my VCRs now eat the tape when I try to watch a movie. So far, this machine works as it is supposed to work, so I have been able to watch many movies I haven't seen in many years.
