Comprising three titles, (Buster Bros., Super Buster Bros., and Buster Buddies), Buster Bros. Collection is a compilation of Capcom's "Buster" arcade series -- released over a period of six years from 1989 to 1995. Gameplay presents a blend of puzzle and action that sees players strafing from side-to-side, shooting vertically at the bubbles that bounce around the arena. Enclosed within the confines of a single, 2D arena, one or two players must utilize their rope-gun devices to destroy the deluge of bubbles that inundate the screen. When hit, the bubbles burst into multiple, smaller segments, and will continue to do so until the smallest bubble is destroyed. Only by clearing the screen can players proceed. However, coming into contact with a bubble will result in the immediate loss of a life.<br><br>Power-ups and weapons can be obtained during play, with the former facilitating the ability to slow down or even stop time, while the latter provide the player with alternate firing modes such as double- or split-wire guns. Stages vary in design, offering different backdrops in addition to more interactive elements like platforms and ladders; these affect the bounce of the bubbles and where your character can move. The immediate objective is to clear each stage of the bubbles that plague it, while the ultimate objective is achieving as high a score as possible. To do this, players will need to destroy bubbles in a particular order, eradicate enemies, and collect food items that appear during play. <br><br>Aside from the cosmetic differences presented in each new title, minor gameplay tweaks are also introduced. The second title, Super Buster Bros., introduces different types of bubbles, including those that bounce higher, split into a greater number of smaller bubbles, and even defy gravity. The third title, Buster Buddies, discards the different bubble variations and introduces four playable characters to the fold, all of whom possess unique speed ratings and default weapons.

    An exciting game to play.

    My siblings and I played Buster Bros. Collection on the original PlayStation when it came out in 1997, and then we sold it a couple years later. Now over ten years later, I started thinking about how much fun the game was to play, so I looked on eBay to see if I could find a quality version of it, and the one I bought was in amazing condition. Besides some insignificant scratches on the case, the disc and booklet were both perfect. Although it does take some adjustment going from modern video games to arcade-style games, and while the game can be frustrating at times (I try not to take it too seriously), the game is fun and exciting overall.

    Sweet ball busting with mega variety!

    This is one of the best video game compilations available for any system. Whether you are into puzzle games or fast action, this collection will pull you in. The gem of this disk is Buster Buddies, and this is the only place where you can play it at home. Buster Bros. and Super Buster Bros. are definitely ok games but not near as good as they were on other systems. Buster Buddies is awesome and gives you a variety of characters who attack in a variety of ways. If you have a PS1, this game is a must have!

    A great old game.

    The game is a old game but i loved it back in the day. The game works great, and i would buy it again. The game is easy to use and there is noting difficult about it.

    me gusta mucho este juego me a cuerdo q cuando era chiquito lo jugaba en arcade y cuando lo encontre en ps1 no dude en comprarlo y haora mi sobrino quiere uno igual por q a mi hermana le gusta jugar este tipo de juegos estoy seguro que les va a gustar este juego simple y sencillamente es muy entretenido. buy it u wont be disappointed is fun and entertaining.
