About this product

Product Information

Like its console contemporaries, the DS version of GoldenEye has players taking the first-person role of an MI6 agent working toward elite "00" license-to-kill status, who is dismissed for "reckless brutality." Seizing the opportunity to bring such a highly skilled and well-trained operative into his own organization, infamous Bond supervillian Auric Goldfinger welcomes the player's disenfranchised agent into his ranks.

As the single-player game begins, Goldfinger is in a struggle with the nefarious Dr. No for control of the world's most powerful criminal organization. The game is officially licensed by MGM (which holds the rights to the franchise), so players can expect to meet other famous (and infamous) characters from the James Bond universe, such as Oddjob, Pussy Galore, Scaramanga, and Xenia Onatopp, as they make their way through this adventure.

Rogue Agent supports multiplayer action through the handheld's wireless connectivity features. Standard deathmatches and domination games are featured, as well as a "Tug of War" game that has teams competing to move a bomb across a map by flipping a series of switches. Some multiplayer modes allow "spawning," which enables up to eight DS gamers to play together on a single game card, using the handhelds' "Download Play" features.

He showed up safe and early, the packaging could've been a little better for a figure like this, but it showed up perfectly fine and undamaged

Item arrived in disgusting shape. There was obviously something spilled on it which would’ve been obvious to the person packing this item. Will not be purchasing from this seller again. Showing pictures of how it looked

This is an early DS FPS game and has the dual wield individual left and right trigger shooting for the guns just like the main console game. The levels, although missing some are to scale as the console versions too. It even lets u play with AI bots in the multiplayer which other than Metroid Hunters most DS FPS games don’t have that feature. Instruction booklet is surprisingly thick for a DS game as well. They definitely went all out for this port and is still relatively cheap.

  • Fun game! Good tie in with the old Bond movies!

A great game, loads of fun. Not overly difficult. But one must get used to dealing with old Bond characters in ways that do not jive with the old Bond Movies (i.e. your character works for Auric Goldfinger who has you get rid of his opponents like Dr. No). It's missions are fun and the character/plot developments are interesting, despite their inaccuracies with the movie plots. All in all a good game. Has different ideas than other first person shooters. Double wielding (holding/shooting 2 weapons at once) is a common/standard thing (versus being a rare opportunity in other shooters). One thing that irked me was being unable to reload or collect spare ammo. If you like a certain weapon you must find another one and replace it (versus collecting spare ammo). Minor irks that do not effect ...

  • OVERALL FUN, SHOOTER GAME

NOT AS FUN AS WHEN GOLDENEYE FIRST CAME OUT ON NINTEDO64, BUT STILL A PRETTY GOOD SHOOTER GAME... FAIRLY AVERAGE, LIKE OTHER SHOOTING GAMES, BUT THE USE OF THE STYLUS IS INTERESTING. (TO NAVIGATE, XYAB MOVES YOUR CHARACTER WHILE AT THE SAME TIME, YOU KEEP THE STYLUS ON DS TOUCH SCREEN, WHICH IS YOUR CROSSHAIRS.) I HAVEN'T PLAYED MANY SHOOTER GAMES ON THE DS (CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY NINJA GAIDEN), BUT EVEN STILL, I DON'T THINK THAT THIS GAME ISN'T A MUST-HAVE. IF YOU WANT A TYPICAL SHOOTER GAME ON YOUR DS, THEN THIS WILL DO THOUGH.

  • Great game! Exciting and excellent replay value

This game is a great port from much more graphically intensive Rogue Agent available on the more recent platforms. It has everything that you love about GoldenEye while also adding enough of the touch screen features to make it worthwhile to have a Nintendo DS version. Once again, the game creates an environment where shooting everything that moves isn't the best strategy, and makes the player think hard about what the next step is.
