Great flatwound bass strings!
I have been using exclusively D'Addario flats for several years now. I tried a cheaper brand a while back - big mistake. You can tell where the difference in cost comes in.

D'addario Flatwound bass strings are the BEST!
I've used Daddario strings for many years. All my six strings and basses have them on. I have never even broken one! These D'addario Flatwound bass strings are fantastic! Smooth, quiet, hold tune and sound great. I'd never use any other strings!

My favourite strings
I use D'Addario and Rotosound chrome strings only, I know they wont suit everyone as they dont have that top end "tizz" you get with roundwound strings but I love the smooth deep sound I get from chrome flatwounds. That and the total lack of finger noise from the very smooth finish make them easy to play. The flatwound strings also mean there are no grooves for finger muck to build up in.
