I used it to keep spiders off my CCTV system and from spinning webs which caused them to activate during the night. This stuff is the only one that has proved to deter them to some extent. I'd tried all the other specialised stuff but they didnot work. The Fruit Tree Goo has proved to be the best so far.

Wrong shape bottle
I think that the grease is well upto the job but for me it's in the wrong type of bottle, you don't get a vast amount and it's well down the bottle before you start, getting it out is a nightmare, I used an old credit card. If the bottle was more flat and wide, like a shoe polish tin you will be able to use more of it. Currently there is a lot wasted.

Does what it says on the container
I had used grease bands before but found the creepy crawlies were able to make their way under the band and still spoil some of the fruit, the grease is able to get in to grooves of the bark giving extremely good protection and has given us over twice as much edible fruit than in the past. Good product. a better band than tape
much better than the tape band variety as many apple trees have a rough "cork" type bark which this product will fill all the tiny gaps and create a complete band much easier

I have purchased this tree treatment prior to the time of use so that I am ready and able to beet any infest of insects ect. I have used it before and with good results.Sadly I didn't catch the Victoria plums in time this year and had a lot of bugs inside them. A good product ,worth using.
