Only just got this item and so far it's performed much as advertised. It looks good and has some handy features (number of cups indicators inside the kettle). I'm pleased overall and have no negatives to add.

If kettle were filled more than half, water pours out of lid, as it is I’ll fitting with a poor fit!! Plus, the lid has to be opened by hand, which is not easy if you’re elderly; which, I am. Very upset 😢

This kettle is perfect for my arthritic hands as it is small and can boil just a cupful of water, making it even easier to lift. It has a comfortable grip and looks good being polished stainless steel and black. Of course, it has the Russell Hobbs brand name, guaranteeing quality.

We have always used Russell Hobbs kettles and we particularly like the small ones. This one is very efficient, but we have one complaint. The chemical taste and smell is very unpleasant and it lasted for quite a number of days. This problem was definitely the kettle. Our tap water is perfectly drinkable and we also fill the kettle with filtered water. We wasted numerous cups of tea and coffee, but the problem now seems to be solved.. Fingers crossed!!

Bought to replace a ten year old Russell Hobbs kettle that still worked but was looking a bit tired. This one is shiny and looks good and quite modern. It is called a mini kettle but you don't often want to boil more water than it holds. It has a window to show how much water is in it but that doesn't go down to the 1 cup level, so you have to look in if you only want to boil 1 cup. The handle is comfortable and the kettle pours well so let's hope we get another 10 years from this on
