About this product

Product Information

This lens transforms a large-aperture F2.8 300mm lens into a zoom lens that allows you to determine the picture composition you want without having to change your vantage point. It has two SLD (the special low dispersion) glass elements in front group and another element of SLD is being used for rear group for excellent correction of chromatic aberration. The new multi layer lens coating and lens design reduce flare and ghost, which is a common problem with digital cameras and also creates an optimum color balance through the entire zoom range. The AF drive for Sigma SA, Canon and Nikon cameras is equipped with a silent, responsive and high speed HSM, which also provides full-time manual focus function.Since focusing and zooming do not change its overall length, this lens is easy to hold and use. In addition, since the front of the lens does not rotate, a circular polarizing filter can be easily attached and use.

The lens arrived today and was unpacked. In the world of used camera gear, it is crucial knowing the condition. It was not as described... IT WAS BETTER! Absolutely spectacular! I could not be happier. Great communicator. Great price. Great shipping (not blaming seller for the customs delay). Easy transaction. A+++.

Camera decription not as detailed as other sellers, but photos looked good took a punt and bought it, best price on Nikon 1 V3 premium kit and postage, parcel came fast, perfectly safely packed, camera was perfect the tiniest bit of use showing but works 💯%, got a defective battery, but seller gave me a generous refund, I will not hesitate to buy again from this seller, item exactly as described, cheers and thankyou very much.

I was hesitant to buy a used camera on eBay, but the other reviews eased my mind. The camera was exactly as described, and the photos were accurate. The seller contacted me right away, the shipping was lightning quick, and it came packed as if it was a brand new camera. The battery was charged, the menu was set to my language, and camera body was super clean. I'm very pleased with this seller, and would not hesitate to buy from them again!

  • Awesome Lens For The Money

I'll start off by saying that, no, this lens isn't as sharp as the Canon 300mm f/2.8, but I'll also say that it doesn't make nearly as big of dent in your wallet plus it offers the versatility of a zoom all in one, large, heavy package. I debated over getting this lens after I realized my Canon 100-400L just wasn't cutting it when it came to separating the subject from the background. This lens fit the budget at the time so I picked up a used copy. This had me a bit wracked knowing how Sigma is with autofocus issues (back focusing and front focusing), but this lens seems much less affected by this than other Sigma lenses. The sharpness is fine, the reach is wonderful and the wide 2.8 aperture allows for some great nature shots, especially when your subject is close to the background ...

  • Great lens

I took this lens out of the box, took a couple of test shots, and proceeded to shoot a high school football game. Pix were published with a story in the local paper (circulation 300,000). Sharp lens, it's heavy but I mostly use it handheld with good results. There's no other f/2.8 lens available on the market to compare it to. I won't compare it to a Canon prime, which is double the price and financial unobtanium for me, but I am very pleased with picture quality and handling. This ishould not be your first lens or second lens probably not even your third lens. Before you buy it you should know you need it and why. Like any lens of this type you need to pay extremely attention to your auto focus technique, especially since you probably bought it to shoot wide open in low light. It's ...

  • Fantastic lens!!!

After few months of debating, I finally decided to pull the trigger and buy this lens. I picked up a used one (non DG version). Based on reviews and the fact this lens covers such a great range I thought this could be a perfect choice. I needed a lens for sport events, something versatile, sharp and fast and within a reasonable price range. After just few days of testing, I can say this Sigma not only proved to be a right choice but it convinced me that great telephoto lens doesn't need to be white and very expensive. Sigma 120-300 is tack sharp even wide open ... and it goes like that through the entire focal range. I have 2 other Sigma lenses and this one is no exception when comes down to colors ... pleasantly warm and nicely saturated. The thing I like the most about it is the fact I ...

  • Sigma 2.8 120-300

Sharp and focuses quickly. Needs a tripod for me, but even with the 2.0 extender(Sigma) it works great!
