I have configured mine to just plug in and it charges without the need for app or card swipe by adding a simple automation step in the app. One slight thing is that mine came with a broken catch on the cable holder, but I do t use this anyway and the cable end comes with a rubber stopper to stop water entering when not in use. I’ve had it a while now without issues. Happy Customer.
