    Typical British Mystery

    Loved the quaint English scenery, especially the early houses. The main character is likeable, good back and forth between him and his oafish assistant. Didn't like the first episode, a little too kinky for me; hoping the rest will be better. Grateful for the subtitles.

    Not my cup of tea

    Great acting, beautiful settings, gruesome murders----but the whole thing is so very British, it left me cold. The tongue in cheek humor seemed silly at times and I was exhausted after being taken through a zillion plot twists. I never really got to know any of the characters well and that bugged me. Doesn't compare to say, Fargo, which was gruesome AND brilliant AND you ended up latching on to (or fearing) certain characters.
