About this product

Product Information

First Game Boy Advance installment in Nintendo's turn-based strategy roleplaying series, only released in Japan. The gameplay is divided up into map-based missions, which are introduced via simple character-driven cutscenes. Like in Advance Wars, most missions require you to defend allied towns against rival units, defeat incoming enemies and take over the opponent's stronghold. But Fire Emblem Advance has a distinctive RPG slant that sets it apart from its military-themed cousin. There is far more character interaction and, most importantly, character development. For starters, there really aren't any generic units -- each member of your team has a name and unique character attributes and stats. Every battle earns you experience points depending on how much damage your attacks caused. The game features 50 different units, a full-fledged items and weapons system, and music composed by Yuka Tsujiyoko.

    Fans are AWESOME!

It's so cool to live in a day and age where language is no longer a barrier. Thank you, fans, for making sure that an excellent entry in the under-served Fire Emblem series made it to our shores. If you played either of the other two Fire Emblem games for the GBA, you'll easily jump right into this one. The story is a sequel to the GBA game simply labeled Fire Emblem here in the West. Super fun. Super addicting. One cool thing about the cart I got; the mid-battle save didn't auto-delete. That means that you can save your game at the beginning of a turn and then, if the turn doesn't go well, you can redo it with a different strategy. I know, that all but eliminates any difficulty. Well, you don't have to use that glitch. A worthy entry and a faithful recreation. And a GREAT deal!

    Fire Emblem: The Binding blade

Their is one problem with this game and that is that the game doesn't save which is a huge issue when dealing with a fire emblem game. All who read this be warned!

  • This game significanlty exceeded my expecations! Feels like any other Fire Emblem title!

I was skeptical about purchasing a fan-made translation of this game, but this game significantly exceeded my expectations! This game feels just like any other official Fire Emblem game I have played! The game is translated very well and doesn't even feel fan-made. Saving the game is not a problem (This game does not quick save automatically when turning off the game in the middle of a battle. This is not a problem at all for me because I never actually made use of that feature, as I always manually quick save the game in battle, which this game does not have any problem doing. Additionally, I'm not sure this game is supposed to have this feature anyway, as I am comparing it to Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones which did include this feature) Saving and quick saving both work. Overall, this game was made very well! It's awesome to finally be able to play Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade! Very enjoyable experience!

  • AWESOME GAME!

Great Translation, and gameplay is almost identical to what it should be. The one negative part is there is no quick save (shutting game off and picking up where you left off), other than that it is identical to how any GBA fire emblem should be. Would highly recommend!!!!!

  • Arrived quickly, and in great condition

Arrived quickly in great condition, with hard plastic case. Works perfectly as expected, would buy Again. I am subtracting 1 star due to the fact that the seller could've packaged it a bit better considering it was an international shipment. Next time please consider using some bubble wrap as well, other than that, everything was fine.

  • Great gift!

My little brother really likes the game and I'd recommend it to other game fans on that note alone! My little brother recently got into fire emblem so I got him a game boy advance S.P for his birthday and this a few months later. ✌

  • Good fan translation, no gamebreaking bugs that I've seen.

Fun game, and good fan translation. Aftermarket cartridges don't fit entirely into the console and some people may notice, albeit being only slightly sticking out a couple hairs because it doesn't sit flush.

  • fun to go vintage

I was happy to get this game; it is a blast from the past. Fire Emblem Sword of Seals is not every ones cup of tea... but if your into strategy you'll love this game.

  • Great game

This game was well translated. I knew that the game was going to be good from the beginning. Although the music is a little weird, it is still really cool retro music.

  • Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade (Review)

The story is very compelling, and the character's permanent death mechanic gives the player sense of sadness when they lose a character you grew with and like, pass away for good. The player makes a connection with the characters and make them think "I cannot let (so and so) die! He/she's was a great person, I must fight on and think strategically on how to beat my enemy." The sweet release of seeing a chapter completed with all your buddies unharmed awards the player with a feeling of determination to beat the game with your virtual friends!
