As far as estate pipes go, it’s hard for the buyer to tell if a pipes chamber being it was used, will be smoke worthy or toast until they clean it out. That’s the gamble we take. Fortunately, in the case of this Royal Demuth, upon cleaning I found the chamber to be solid and with plenty of life left. It cleaned up well and now is money well spent! Great little pipe as described. Excellent seller! Thank you!
