Quality and Efficiency
Bought to replace a 3yr old similar vaccuum of a different make. Could not get any response from the makers as to a repair? Shark have a good reputation as it is justified at present - only time will tell. However the machine is of excellent construction and is well designed. The suction is brilliant and it is easy to use once you get the feel of it. The upholstery brush works well under the sofa cushions and the pet brush made short work of the stair carpet. I have used the long reach and upholstery brush to get to the apex of the conservatory - brilliant - I usually have to use my stepladder. A very good machine so far although it is quite heavy to carry upstairs but I am getting on in years!

Pleased overall
This is my first upright vacuum cleaner in over 10 years and since we had our golden labrador who sheds vast quantities of fur. It seems to cope well with picking up pet hair and dirt - the house is particularly dusty and dirty following building work so it has had a good work out! I find the lift away function really helpful. I used it for cleaning our motorhome and it was much easier than using my cylinder vacuum. I was initially amused by the headlights but can see the benefit of them. The elements I'm not so impressed with are the tools which aren't angled so not so easy to use on the end of the wand or hose as those which I've had on other vacuums. I also find that it tips over easily when the lift away element has been taken off. I've only had it a fortnight so can't comment on how well it performs over a longer period. I've made a drawstring bag for the accessories but it would be useful if some sort of tool storage was supplied.

Best hoover to date.
This is an amazing hoover, the set up i,e different ways to use make it much easier to get into awkward places in the house, and the main thing is the suction, it picks up everything, I would never go by Dyson in the past but now, shark is the best.

I’ve been living in a dirty house
I have wanted a Shark for some time but had a perfectly good vacuum until it broke. You think your carpets are clean until you have used the Shark. Although we don’t have any pets the dirt in the dust container was vast. I have only owned my Shark for a couple of days so haven’t got around to the stairs using the lift away yet so can’t comment on that part. Great purchase
