    Excellent CD of hits and lesser knows songs from a great era.

    Volume 9 from the Golden Age of American Rock N Roll is a great compilation from Ace Records of well known and less well known charting singles from the years 1954-1963. If you are a collector, you will love the liner notes that captures the history of every 30 recordings on this CD. The sound is great. Highlights of the major hits include "If You Wanna Be Happy" and "Palisades Park." If you want just the hits, then this isn't for you. But if you want quality music and are more of a collector, this comes highly recommended.
