    Suggestions to make Better Use

    First, the scorched appearance is NOT stain, looks like burnt wood of unknown type. 2nd the metal washer for the base connection is not good choice. I use a large rubber washer instead, allows for tight connection without rupturing the bolt inside the main stalk when tightening. 3rd I use 4 rubber grommets under each corner for non-slippage & firm surface grip. 4th, I don't use the enlarged deep feeder cups, I insert a pecan slice in each hole to entice my Pionus to climb up a small ladder to first perch, and then step up to top perch. 5th I use a large metal or plastic clamp as an intermediate step between the 2 inserted wooden perches. Now, I have a new place for my bird to be happy hanging out on!!

    I have a HAPPY bird!!

    My cockatiel loves his new perch...he went to it right away, no fear! Its very well made and very easy to put together! I'm really happy I purchased it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a table top perch.
