    A very welcome blast from the past.

    I had this album on cassette in my car thirty odd years ago and played it until I wore the cassette out. Having watched Ruby on Hootenanny at new years I decided I wanted to hear it again so tracked it down on ebay. It doesn't disappoint, the songs are all time classics and Ruby's interpretations sound just as good now as they did back in the late 80's. It isn't Motown, it is some of the very best Motown songs given an 80's makeover and the icing on the cake is Ruby's glorious voice. For me this album is a trip down memory lane but if you didn't have this gem in your youth there is no reason that you couldn't love it as much as I do.
