    May need 2 inch extension pipe to use your type of shower head/shower wand set that I use. Good time to install extra long shower wand hose, my choice 96 or 70 inch. Good for those who need to sit or to wash your pets.

    AQUASANA SHOULD REALLY IMPROVE THE DESIGN OF THIS SHOWER FILTER! IT JUST SPRAYS WATER EVERYWHERE.

    The Aquasana filter does a really good job except in one department: the current filter design leaks water really badly! I've tightened it and tightened it as best as I can, but this shower filter just leaks water badly no matter what I do. And this isn't an isolated incident, either. I've bought over a dozen shower filters like this one from Aquasana over the years and they all have this very same problem with constant water leakage. Aquasana should really take some time and money on their part and fix this issue once and for all. Still, this shower filter is better than nothing at all, especially in my building where the water pipes are very old.

    Skin feels 'cleaner' and softer. Recommended!

    California water is hard, nasty and my area has 400 ppm dissolved solids! Noticeable difference to my skin. Gave product 4/5 due to the fact the filter does not remove dis-solvable solids at all. I believe if you live in a state like California, with water that has nasties in it, a filter for your shower is mandatory.

    Get ready for a messy shower

    This is my 2nd Aquasana shower filter system, and it's the same story: the water is nicely filtered, but no matter what I do to tighten and tape all around the connector, it sprays and drips water everywhere. If you're going to use it at other times, for example, to fill your humidifier, be prepared to get soaked.

    Aquasana 4100 works great

    As little concerned that some people claimed it leaked. I used dope pipe tape and installed as in the instructions saw leak then realized the filter was loose hand tightened and no leak. Carbon black water removed as per instructions everything worked well. Spm was 134 before then it reduced it to 120. I expected 80-100 i know drinking water filter sb about 50 but at least it did something because my frizzy hair felt noticeably softer and even my wife positively commented. I felt more rejuvenated than a shower without the filter so the result is positive and noticible. I feel that it was a worthwhile purchase i have to see how much replacement filters will cost when im ready. Good to go for now.
