    History is Important

    Liberty! The American Revolution is an excellent overview of the events leading up to and including the revolution and events after. Every American should be familiar with this history, in order to keep the philosophy alive and vibrant. The revolutions resulting documents are as important today as they were then. The presentation was very entertaining with solid acting presenting the actual words of the day from journals and diaries. The words sounded very modern to me.

    Buy this one; you will not regret it.

    This is a wonderful program in every way. The producers follow the techniques of the great Ken Burns and do it very well. Episodes switch back and forth between narration, dramatizations, actors who deliver actual words spoken or written by 18th century historical figures. The "talking heads" are respectful and non-judgmental of the people they are talking about. I highly recommend this program for anyone who wants to learn more about the American Revolution or to teach children and young people.
