    Necessary

    This commentary, as well as the whole set is a necessary complement for any serious Bible student. I only wish Pastor MacArthur would write one for the Old Testament also. I own the whole NT set and use at least one of the books daily in preparation for Bible study classes, as well as for better understanding in my personal Bible study and devotions. These truly are the best.

    Easy Read

    MacArthur is always a good read. Bible students will learn of course, and will be urged to further study after reading any of these commentaries. My only criticism is the lack of sources for historic facts or homilies.
