Product Information

Fearsome troll-like demons of the past turn into modern superheroes in this popular animated series. The journey begins in 994 A.D. when architectural creatures mounted on the walls of a castle "sleep" in a frozen state during the day and engage in fierce battles at night. Though the gargoyles' main purpose is to protect the castle's inhabitants, they are misunderstood and hated by humans. A spell is cast to immobilize the gargoyles completely, turning them into creepy architectural forms that remain lifeless for ages. In 1994, a wealthy and decadent New Yorker buys the castle and moves it to the top of his plush high rise. When the ancient spell is broken, the gargoyles suddenly spring to life in the Big Apple instead of the pastoral fields of the Old Country. This release, which features the first 26 episodes of the second season of GARGOYLES, explores what happens as the evil Demona strikes a plan to turn all of Manhattan into stone, and offers viewers a deeper understanding of the Gargoyles' history through several new flashbacks.

    Gargoyles season 2 volume 1

    I bought the first season and it brought me back to my childhood. I thought there was only one season 2 when I brought the second one but it didn't leave off where the first season ended. Did some looking around and found out season two had a first volume and second volume. Of course I had to buy it to make my series whole. The dvds are of good quality.
