    Hard to watch, but worth watching.

    Before Private Ryan was saved, the entire German Army in Stalingrad was not! Raw, stark, horrific, and down right sad, this movie makes the point that not all Germans were Nazis. War affects young people regardless of their political leanings. It's best not experienced by anyone. That message makes this yet another excellent antiwar film.

    Difficulty with translation

    Listened to movie in English with subtitles. Often the two were different. At times, the dialogue was without emotion, which took away from the plot.

    Stalingrad, history unfolded quite real

    Good movie about the German side of the battle and the conditions the men fought under. Box said letterbox with sub-titles, was full size instead with half of lettering cut off. Still an excellent movie.

    German Field Soldiers Asked to Do the Impossible

    Very realistic portrayal of German soldiers in the field at the Battle of Stalingrad. If you're a World War II buff you'll find this film well worth your time. In German with English subtitles.
