    Sears Craftsman Garage Door Safety Sensors

    My garage door started refusing to go down. I checked the sensors and noticed that the receiver sensor did not have an energized green LED. Realignment did not solve the problem. I ordered these replacement sensors and installed them in then minutes, tested the door, and it worked just fine. These units are identical to the sears parts they replaced. They are sturdy and if they last as long as the old units (18 years) they may outlive me. My order was sent out the day I submitted it and I received it about three days later, well ahead of the promised date. I am a happy customer.

    WILL NOT WORK!

    I installed both sensors new and the receiving sensor green light will just flash. I ran a long enough wire to put the sensors right beside each other to make sure i had the sensors lined up properly and it still the same issue.

    A good value for parts that works as they should

    Garage doors at about 60 degrees or below refused to lower. The new beam kit makes the doors operate like new. When replacing the two beam openers make sure you replace the old "sending" and "receiving" units with the new corresponding "sending" and "receiving" units; they are all marked as such on one end of the case. The black/white wire of the old units may have the black line faded out so much that you may miss seeing the black marked wire, especially if the units have spent time in the sun. Also, make sure that the copper ends of the wires are inserted completely into the gel connector before crimping the connector.

    Sear garage door sensor (41A4373A) replacement

    The replacement sensors are good quality, easy to install and work perfectly. I used the existing sensor frames and spliced the wires as instructed. I did not have to align the sensors. The wire connector/splicers supplied are not easy to use. I ruined two and I had to use two alternate wire connector/splicers. No big deal. The replacement kit is worth not having to replace the whole garage door system.

    Now I don't have to hold the button in to close the door.

    Had a feeling that my OLD sensor was bad when I had to hold the button in to make the door closed. Also noted that the green light on the OLD receiver was not coming on. I bought these replacements at a great price and installed both and now my door works again like it did on day 1.
