      Expensive but worthy of the extra features

      Make sure you have a white (neutral) wire in your switch box, you'll need it to work properly. I think it will work without the ground (green/bare) wire but I connected mine anyway. What sets this unit apart is the way it handles dusk to dawn applications. Other models you set the sunrise/sunset On/Off time. The problem is, as those times change, you have to constantly adjust your On/Off times. This unit uses lattitude longitude settings for your location. and automatically adjusts those times throughout the year as it changes. The device is large so make sure you have adjusted your wires inside the box to accomodate this unit, it will fit, but it's tight. It also has a manual On/Off swittch that you can use anytime and doesn't affect your Dusk to Dawn program.I've only had it installed ...

      Good timer.

      Does what I want...battery keeps the settings when power is out, and it adjusts for daylight savings time. Also, it's easy to program. I use it to control a heated towel bar in the bathroom.

      I absolutely love this wall switch timer ! It has simplified my life and gave me peace of mind knowing that my lights will always be on when I come home at night. It is very easy to install just like a regular light switch. And programming it couldn’t be any more simpler just a few simple steps and you’re done. There are several program mode but my favorite is the one is “ all night “ it is perfectly matched to follow the sunrise and sunset up every day of the year and matches it perfectly. And best of all it’s still operates like a regular light switch just tap the button to make it go on and off at any time .

      Quiet and easy to program

      Much quieter than the other two astro timers I've owned. Others made a much louder popping noise when the lights turned on or off (similar to the sound a GFIC makes when testing it). Used to wake me up. This one does not wake me up. Tags: Quiet. Quieter. Quietest. Silent.
