    Crucial MX300. A good affordable SATA SSD.

    So you have a PC that uses hard drives. It's slow to boot, slow to open stuff, and just plain slow in general. The solution is simple. Replace that hard disk drive with a solid state drive. (HDD with SSD.) The question is how. If you have an older system made before the advent of the NVME standard used now then you will need a SATA SSD. This drive is the best value drive as it is generally the cheapest option available from a known company. There are cheaper drives out there but they are cheap clones that fail or are worse than old school hard drives in terms of speed. I bought 2 of these MX300 drives in the 2 terabyte capacity and use them both for my data storage. Drive one sits in my secondary home PC I use for Steam games.     SSD - just get one, only the price is against it.

    Short version - get a cloner unit, thirty smackers, get a small kit cheap from same or similar manufacturer as cloner unit, get the free software utility for doing partitions, be able to browse on a separate device eg smartphone for online guidance, and you can do this. 3 to 10 times as fast now my PC at real-world jobs like startup, and rousing from sleep mode, and bringing my screen up that's lousy with icons all over the place etc. Clone is the best way to go but your existing spinning HDD must be smaller or same size as the SSD you are replacing as the primary drive. I settled on doing this, rather than getting just a 500Gb SSD, I got a 2Tb one. The reasons are technical, but basically it makes the entire process of migrating more certain.     Very good SSD.

    Very pleased with this SSD. Works without issue and I'm getting advertised speeds. Docking it a star because it is not quite as fast as other competitors. Also, this drive is priced at the low end of the spectrum but is still a little too high. Solid state drives have been out long enough and it would be nice to see prices come down to more reasonable levels. Other than that, I do recommend this drive.

    Replaced old hard drive

    My old 2 TB hard drive was taking longer and longer to boot as well as running for no reason. I replaced it with this SSD and I am so happy. It boots in about 30 seconds and my computer runs like new again.

    It worked many times faster than my previous 2 TB 5400 RPM HDD. I have no issues so far. It save my ton of time because of its faster performance.

    It is expensive but it worths the money. Regarding the durability, I have no experience because this is my first ssd in my life. I hope the information posted on the advertizement comes true.
