Superb item at bargin price
This cool box is ideal for picnics in the car....no more warm drinks or melting chocolate. It keeps everything beautifully cool, it's light to carry and easy to use. Poor construction but good design
Bad things first. I have used the cool box for one return trip in hot weather. The fan noise is too loud to be in the same room with it on. In a car you cannot hear the fan over other ambient noise. The on/off, ac dc label became unstuck and I had to apply pressure a number of times to stop it falling off. The foam sealant around the lid fell off and after putting it on three times it broke/split at the join so now it wont stay on at all. The most serious is the last and indicates some possible H&S issue. On checking that everything was fine using the cool box in the car on its dc lead with cold selected, the lead had become extremely hot and I suspect was on the point of melting. After disconnecting it and allowing it to cool down, I reconnected the dc cable to the cool box and monitored it frequently but the cable did not overheat again. Good things. It does keep food cool and seemed to work better with a freezer pack to help it. The internal car temperature with air con/ climate control was about 22 and the temperature in the cool box allowed ice to melt - as it would eventually in a fridge.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Didn't work - not worth the money
Bought this for camping. Had it on a whole day and night before we went away. Was off in the car but put straight back on the electric a couple of hours after switch off, once we arrived, so would say contents should of remained cool in that time. The box was left on the electric constantly however when we did our breakfast the next morning nothing was cool and items such as milk had gone off!!!!! It was a mild weekend and no chance the weather was above 20 degrees, more like 15 degrees so the box should of been ice cold as it states on the box "15 degrees below outside temperature". Was so disappointed as we'd stocked up on food and milk so not only have we waisted the £40 for the box but another £20 on food that we then had to go and re buy anyway. Suitable For Travelling
This a fridge for travelling. It just about works in a car. In a hotel room it is noisy (fine if you have a power point in the toilet). It will chill a bottle of water etc. overnight. It is best if the contents are chilled before putting in fridge. This nothing like a domestic fridge but serves its purpose well. Good for days out

the coolest one yet
This item works well & is continuous running all the time the engine is running, superb for taking on holiday with long journeys. Have just completed several long runs in the warmest of weather & the contents were kept at the same temperature from the time we started till we reached our destination. Perfect
A great item at and great value for money. Just used it for the first time over a 4 day camping trip. Used both the mains and car adaptor before and on the way to the site and cooled quickly. Cooler Box
This box appears to be quite well made and the duel voltage is a nice plus at this price. I would have given 5 stars except for a small fault. Doesn't do what it says on the tin!
Barely got cold, even after 4 hours of being plugged in. Looks good & quality good, but as far as keeping food cold/chilled forget it. Haven't tried the 'heat' function as bought for a camping trip to chill milk, meat etc.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
