Well it works! I used it to fit a 6 bit coding to a Leica M 135mm F3.4 Apo Telyt. The holes lined up with the original lens flange and the camera recognised the coding on the 2nd time it was fitted (not sure why it thought it was an M to R adaptor the first time I installed it).
