You need a newer main relay for older cars even if its not broken.
Its rare to find brand new parts for anything electrical on a 80's honda. Mine was a 87 honda accord lxi 3 door hatch 2.0L PGMFI. This fuel relay can be resoldered to work again when the old one goes out, but seeing a new one with new circuits and modern alloys is a must buy if you own one of these cars. The smoothness of the engine went up by 20 percent. Clutch chatter in 1st at 1000rpm goes away completely. Even if you dont need too, you should buy this replacement brand new while you can. Its solder and circuit alloys hold up to heat better than the original. The spot this relay sits is under the driver side dashboard and it gets hot under there if you dont have AC working. It can be the reason you have accel issues. Make sure that 70A main fuse under the hood is also of better quality ... Its rare to find brand new parts for anything electrical on a 80's honda. Great buy for a new version of rare Honda 1988 part
