Easy to use
At 20 quid a metre it ain't cheep for plastic foam essentially. But it does the job in so much as its easy to use. Its the thick side of a quarter inch thick, has a self adhesive back and a tough foil finish on the opposite side. Easy to cut and fold into corners and different profiles. Seems to stick ok. Worked fine for me.

Game changer!
I recently finished building my koi pond and installed an air pump that could handle 10,000 litres without any problem during the summer. Once plugged in the droning of the pump was too much on a quiet day in the garden and was not acceptable after all the hard work for a tranquil pond. I built a box and then lined it with this and I was really surprised how good it was. I would say the sound dropped 90% which is amazing for a pump on a still quiet evening standing 3 ft away from it. It means no neighbours will hear it and we can enjoy the garden noise free. Great quality and arrived so quickly which was perfect as I was stressing out trying to solve the problem. Replaced my discovery 3 engine cover sound proofing
When servicing my car the engine cover had crumbling dusty foam under it. I bought this, tracer around the foam, cut it out and stuck it in. Not too thick as 30mm would not allow the cover to sit. Very happy and no more dust.
