I bought this product as a back-up set of earphones for an Android-based phone. I was looking for a product with at least 109+ dB sound handling capabilities. I listen to DC's Go-Go music which is bass and percussion heavy. While the headphones have the typical design for the model year, this product is more suited for Apple phones, as the full capabilities are not available for Android phones. That is, the mic, on/off, next/last track functionality is there, but volume control is inoperable. Since these are back-ups, I can live for with what they can't do because the bass and power handling are nearly as good as my OEM pair. In summary, for the price I paid, these headphones are decent if one still has a 3.5 mm jack and want full featured headphones (less volume control for Android phones).Read full review

I purchased these to replace a pair of Apple in-ear phones that I bought 6-7 years ago. They appear to be a similar design and I was hoping for similar or improved performance, but they do not provide nearly as much isolation from ambient noise and have very little bass response. My older Apple earphones provide enough bass to provide decent reproduction of classic rock, alternative, and R&B music. These earphones are more comfortable than the standard earbuds that came with my iPhone, but do not sound any better to me . I will keep using my old ones until I find something better.

These in ear Apple headphones are one of the best Apple has offered! These are almost considered IEM (in ear monitor) due to their accurate and flat frequency response. These are very hard to find these days. If you find an authentic pair you’ll be dazzled by the sound. Each headphone containing 2 drivers, a woofer and tweeter, give you some incredible and well balanced sound. The cable can transmit a little bit of noise, but given the rarity of these it would be best to use at home when relaxing to avoid any damage to the cord and also avoid the noise. Overall I would highly recommend these to any audiophile. They’re very pleasant and accurate and offer a great soundstage and passive noise isolation. Well worth $50 if you can find them. $100 brand new would be great as well as they retailed for $80 at release and there’s very few in the wild. 9/10 would buy these headphones again. These are terrific headphones - very easy to wear, for me, and easy to listen to. Not boom box sound, but accurate, well-balance, quality sound. Android users will not be able to make use of the remote function (start-stop, mute, etc.), though...that appears to be uniquely for Apple devices.

I like my first pair so well, I decided to get this pair to have when the first ones are broken or lost. The only thing that could make them better - and get that fifth star - is if they had asymmetric cords for "around the neck" use.
