Great batteries - they start my fire engine a treat! Great supplier too.
I own a preserved Dennis SS fire engine, which being 24 volt needs two batteries. The official batteries for it are 665, but they're a horrendous price. When I needed to replace one of the batteries last year I shopped around and chose one of these from batterymegauk and was very pleased with it. Hankook is a name I've heard of and trust, although until last year I'd only heard of them for tyres rather than batteries, but I assumed they wouldn't risk their reputation by putting their name to rubbish batteries! The battery I bought last year has worked perfectly, so when the other one needed replacing a couple of weeks ago I had no hesitation in buying another one of these from batterymegauk. The price had gone up a bit, £75 last year and £82.50 this year, but still a lot cheaper than ... I own a preserved Dennis SS fire engine, which being 24 volt needs two batteries. These batteries are quite a bit smaller than the 665, and although they have a slightly lower capacity than the 665 (110Ah instead of 125Ah) they have a higher cranking current (750A compared to the 665's 720A, or some I've seen advertised at only 680A). They throw my 8.3 litre diesel engine over very enthusiastically anyway! One thing to check before buying one of these batteries is the position of the terminal posts - they're centrally mounted, not set to one side like conventional batteries. Being smaller as well you may find that the difference in height might be a problem as well. It didn't cause me any issues, the batteries went straight in and the leads connected them okay, even when I was only using one of these and a larger 665 alongside it, but it might be an idea to consider the length of your battery leads to make sure you won't have a problem. I've now bought two of these batteries from batterymegauk, and my Dad bought a different battery from them a month or so ago. All three of the batteries were delivered overnight, which might be a consideration if you've got a vehicle off the road. I'd have no hesitation in recommending these batteries and this supplier.

Too high for a Range Rover P38
I bought one of these for my 1998 P38 4.6 HSE based on a Facebook recommendation. IT'S SIMPLY TOO HIGH FOR THIS APPLICATION. The battery clamp sits 5mm high where it bolt clamps to the slam panel. All other dimensions are fine and the price and delivery speed from this supplier is outstanding.

Compact tractor battery
