Exactly the same as the original part
Owing to the way Siamp inlet mechanisms work, the symptoms of a cracked diaphragm can be misleading. On conventional compression washer (ball valve) mechanisms, a split washer lets water leak through all the time but with these, it can stop water flowing altogether. The shut off is achieved by the float sealing a tiny air hole just behind the diaphragm. Fitting one of these washers fixes almost all problems, even if the old one doesn't look to be damaged. Be very careful to fit it the right way around, the strut in the hard plastic fits in the slot on the inlet mechanism and the raised bump on the edge of the washer housing must engage in it's slot before the screw cover is refitted.Owing to the way Siamp inlet mechanisms work, the symptoms of a cracked diaphragm can be misleading. Not quite the same as the original washer. No round plastic lug in the concave side. Didn’t risk trying to use it, and sourced a geberit genuine product.

Washer Woes; Fixed !
The W/C had been a problem for a few days, didn't fill quickly after a flush. A bit of research on YouTube told me the cause . Send for a diaphragm wsher . I bought it from here and was the cheapest and delivery was within two days I ecall. Fitted same day and voila , the Cistern was back to normal. Sure enough the "old" washer had a slit in it, thus causing the problem. £2.39p well spent !! An easy fixThe W/C had been a problem for a few days, didn't fill quickly after a flush. Easy to replace, works well
Easy to fit but check for debris (lime scale or sand) on the valve seat and that the float cut off hole is clean. Works perfectly. A good product.

Just in time diaphragm
Having searched the house for the spare I already had, I eventually gave up and ordered this one. It's just as well I did as following the placement of the order, I tracked down the one I had been looking for and fitted it. Almost immediately we started having problems with water hammer. Nothing I did made any difference until the new diaphragm arrived and I fitted it. Instant rectification of the issue. Despite the (noisey) one from plumb centre still being a new one, there was plainly a problem and this one solved that problem straight away.Having searched the house for the spare I already had, I eventually gave up and ordered this one.
